hey well, since noone has posted, i will. i played w/ abbott last night, and he was running around in a pillowcase. i heard something weird though--he was like SNEEZING or something! he was making these weird squeaking noises, and so i took him out and let him run on the couch and he seemed okay...but it kind of worries me, so if someone would post w/ info i'd seriously appreciate it! he's doing good now, i think.

Hurray! the answer is here! i thoguht it was burrows, but hte answer is actually a country!

Answer to Question 3: The Syrian/golden hamster hails from the semi-arid areas of Southeast Europe and Asia Minor. Actually, pet hamsters (and research hamsters) are all believed to be descended from one litter of 4 hamsters captured in Syria in 1930 or so. Most species of wild hamsters live in semi-arid areas and live in deep burrows to escape the heat.

Question 4: Do hamsters make good pets?

Ans: Well, gee, i wonder what the heck the answer is to that question...seeing as how i have no hamsters
or anything, i really wouldn't know!

The answer to the triv question is (so sorry it's late):
"Hamster" is derived from the german hamstern - meaning "to hoard."

Question 2
Which species of hamster is most well known as a pet?

Answer (hopefully) tommorrow!
